A bit about

I am a Yoga teacher and Yoga therapist ( 700 hr certified by the Devon School of Yoga, UK ), the founder of Breathing Yoga and The Yoga Barn. I feel blessed to be the mama of two amazing beings, who are my greatest teachers, and partner to Paul, my favourite artist and soul surfer.

My yoga journey began when I was 18 and my mother, Vera, invited me to join her in a class led by a gifted Brazilian teacher. At that moment, and ever since then I realised that the path of yoga was a path of home coming.

Since that first blissful encounter, which lasted for several years, I have had the honour to study and learn from so many other inspiring teachers, all around the world, and hope to always continue to do so. Above all else, I adore being a student.

Over the years,  I have become increasingly drawn to the healing aspects of yoga (asana, breathing, meditation and mantra), and its power to transform lives in a profound  and sustained way.

I have received Reiki attunement to master level and have loved combining the inner pranic flow awakened through yoga and meditation, with the dance of Ki/Qi/Chi accessed in Reiki healing.  I have completed my training in the beautiful art of Thai Yoga Massage with the Metta College (London, UK) in 2017. This training complements, in a very organic way the essentially compassionate healing work that I am already committed to, through my holistic yoga practice and teaching, yoga therapy and Reiki. I have also completed my foundation training in Shiatsu and will hopefully revisit this sometime in the near future.

I have a great passion for the arts in all its shapes and sounds. I studied performing arts for a number of years – I was an actress in Rio de Janeiro, my spiritual home – and that passion led me to further my experience in creative and concious movement and in contemporary dance. Because of  my love for movement, drama, languages and world travel I graduated in Languages and Literature at PUC – RJ, Brazil, before I moved to the UK.

I create hand – made collages, using images and words, a hobby that truly ignites my creative Spirit.

I love the sea and could easily live under warm salty waters every now and again.

I also enjoy sharing daily mindful walks, immersed in nature, with our dog (and best buddy).

All those influences have definitely shaped the way I teach and share Yoga/meditation today.

I am devoted to and deeply grateful for, my beloved family and friends and for their unconditional support throughout my Yoga studies and practice.

I bow with most humble gratitude to all my teachers as well as to each and every one of my students, as their trust in me, and their fearless openness, have encouraged me to keep breathing and moving forwards.

I have  been teaching adults, children and mums and dads-to-be, since 2006.

I have been a Yoga therapist and Reiki practitioner since 2012/13 and a Therapeutic Thai yoga body worker since 2017.

Creating  The Yoga Barn has been the culmination of a dream to share authentic Yogic values and light with my community.

It`s been an exquisite ride so far.

Obrigada.

Thank you.

Om Shanti Shanti Shanti
